Isn't it after the 6th the traditional day. We just take them down when we feel like it usually before we go back to work

Ah Janey ... here we go again! I suppose ye'll be queing up for your Creme Eggs by the end of the week?

This is one of the things I love about living in France: Christmas-NewYear decorations typically stay up till Mardi Gras/Shrove Tuesday. Nothing like it to make up for wintry weather in January and February.

Down on the 6th. I will personally cut the neighbours outdoor lights if they entertain them like they did last year for the month of January.

That's the spirit, Jack. 👍😅

I did say in passing this morning, Can we take down the decorations now? And I was met with a firm, No way Grinch!

I can't accidentally fall into the Christmas tree again this year, it's bound to look suspicious. We weren't at home for Christmas this year and I couldn't see the point of putting them up at all, fcuking dust gatherers.

Having opted out of putting up a tree this year, on account of being too busy, I came very close to buying a Christmas tree for 1€ in Lidl on Saturday ... but bought a box of rotting clementines instead for the same price.

But in previous years, I have put my tree up after Christmas if I haven't got home soon enough. Would never (ever, ever) put one up before the weekend of the 15th Dec.

There is a major jizzing fest on planks in the Christmas forum. It’s 12 days of Christmas not 12 months.
