Happy Little Christmas!

#1

Post by CelticRambler »

'Tis nearly the end of the official season to be jolly, but the hard-core amongst us can justify keeping things going till Imbolc/St. Bridget's Day, Candlemas or Mardi Gras.

Here in secular France, it's La Fête des Rois (Feast of the Kings) with a special pastry dish - la galette des rois - sold and served everywhere, to be eaten ... well, as close to the date as possible, but why turn down the opportunity to have another one on the 7th, or 8th, or 18th, or 20th. This is the time when businesses and cultural/sporting associations have their "Christmas" party. So much more sensible than in October or November!
