It does look rather deliberate.

I'd heard it slightly differently . . that Charles enjoys wandering around the Balmoral grounds drinking famous grouse whilst shooting peasants . .

Was watching a bit of the build up on BBC. They were interviewing people who'd had camped out for 2 nights to get a good view. I mean why would you do that to yourself

Maybe this has nothing to do with the King's coronation, and everything to do with naked gardening day 🤔

If they combined the two ideas and had a 'naked coronation day' . . I'd of definitely watched that.

I was wondering if someone had been quite clever and arranged things so that a pattern of pale stems would suddenly become visible as soon as the council/whoever ran a mower over the green to get it perfect for the event.

Tell you what, though: those straight lines, perfect circles and sharp angles are a credit to whoever did whatever they did.

Given its such an auspicious
occasion, would one not have a hanky in one's pocket in case such a dreadfully horrid bogey might arise?

I dunno about all the cocaine comments on twitter, I wouldn't have pegged him as a coke head myself.

No comment on his preference for stimulants but can some aide glue his hands into his pockets the next time he is representing the country at a huge event? 😐

I'll say something nice about the Coronation for balance. Kate is very beautiful and always looks stunning. She looks amazing here.

Well I enjoyed the whole show and my fans won't be surprised that I also took the oath of allegiance - admittedly at home on my own and not in my former local. I do still have a small amount of sense in my dotage.

From what I seen of the Coronation, it was an interesting and enjoyable watch and much quicker then I though it would be. I thought Charles looked a bit arkward at times. But that was probably nerves. I normally go through some of the British newspapers online but I think I'll skip it for a day or two. While I understand its cause for national celebration. I've found some of the coverage to be overly fawning

Camilla was noticeably bit fazed when the crown was being placed on her head. She looked bit off in general. Oh, I watched the 4 minute summary of the coronation on YouTube.

She looked fierce fidgety throughout the whole thing. Not that I care, but I see nothing very regal about her at all. Probably more at home mucking out the stables.

I think yesterday was another blow to the image of the crown. The two of them together just look so old and odd. Can't see them reinvigorating an institution which is literally showing its age.

I'm on Twitter so seeing plenty of imagery from it. As usual, "lovely" liberals are being arseholes - I thought they disapproved of sexism, ageism and bullying... only once you agree with them obv. Vile comments about Therese Coffey's appearance. They would be outraged if she were a woman they liked. And such jealousy over the praise for Penny Mordaunt, who looked stunning (if a bit silly).

I'm afraid nose-picking was the least of the bad behaviour from Ireland's official representatives at the coronation. Varadkar and Barrett seem very immature.
