Christy Dignam has passed away. May he rest in peace.

Some man. Some voice. I always liked Christy and admired him for his honesty and openness about his life and struggles. I met him a few times and he was always ready to stop and chat. Sad news.

The man behind the pentagon papers, which lifted the lid on blaggarding and lies by politicians over vietnam, lead to the Watergate issue, and ultimately Americas eventual withdrawal from Vietnam died.....an important person to remember given the Irish establishments determination to drag Ireland into NATO and lies/deception being used to do so

She was an iconic singer but a troubled soul. May she now rest in peace.

Same age as me. I was mad about her. Many thought she was crazy but having experienced the same Ireland she did as a woman growing up through fecken crazy times and known some of the same issues I really vibed with her. I never got as angry as she did but honestly there but for the grace of God...
So sad for her. But how could she have bourne life after losing her beautiful child. Impossible

My wife has forever been a massive admirer of Sinéad O'Connor, she met her a few times and last year when she found out that Sinéad was renting a house quite close to where we live, I had to convince her not to go marching up there with a welcoming gift to the area.
We also received other terminal news this evening regarding a close friend, so all in all, its been a rather shit day.
