Finally tried a a couple of Island Edge last night. Not the worst stout I've ever had but a little watery and fairly bland. Bought a 4 pack so finishing the other 2 might be a struggle. But I'm willing to give it a go:)

That must taste lovely J. Never heard of that one. I've a bottle of Jameson up in the wardrobe here unopened for the last two years. I think that might tempt me to open it over the Christmas.

That does sound really good. I might just make up a batch and keep it on the stove on some days over the Christmas. It's got lots of medicinal value with the lemon, ginger and other spices. And I have a jar of date syrup in the house that I've been wondering what to do with. I'm not a drinker but there are plenty of them here over Christmas and I might also see how it suits me.
