Annoyances & Irritations
Re: Annoyances & Irritations
21 slices of bread.
What's so flippin' challenging about making that either 20 or 22?
Now I can't make 2 rounds of toasted cheese. I can only have 1 or go to the shop first.
Bastards.

Well, it came today 6 minutes into the start of the delivery hour window.
Re: Annoyances & Irritations
I was going to pop into the Dublin V Kildare game tomorrow in Croke Park but tickets are 18 quid. Now that's a bit steep for a league 2 game. 4/5 years ago tickets were 12 quid. A pretty sharp increase

The two lads in the office I work in. There is only the 3 of us. They slurp and eat SO loudly. It does my head in.

Oh that would be interesting for the person sitting opposite me
It's beer time now though. I'm at home with the duvet around me and the laptop in front of me looking at furniture I can't afford.
Two fines from the Guards in the last week so I'm broker

Re: Annoyances & Irritations
I done a post about an absolute nut house of a place I worked in but its probably not good to post on a public forum some of my former colleagues shenanigans in work with regards to drink and drug use.
Nothing to do with your post bosco.

The Dublin V Kildare game is on TG4. My Irish is reasonably good so I can follow most of the commentary. But in terms of their sports coverage would it not be worth their while to offer an English language option. Surely it would boost viewership

Re: Annoyances & Irritations
The Benetton v Munster rugby match this afternoon was also on TG4 and my only option to watch it on - with sound - despite only understanding two words (carta bui) which fortunately are used quite a lot. I have to have the sound on despite not understanding a word of the commentary otherwise there's no atmosphere but I'm heartily sick of it being in Irish. The ever changing rules of rugby union are hard enough to understand in English.Happy Days wrote: ↑Sat Jan 28, 2023 4:36 pm The Dublin V Kildare game is on TG4. But. Do you ever wonder if it's you? I mean I can't help but think that maybe the problem is me because I am trying to fit in with a group that's just different to me.

I wouldn't dream of changing myself to appease the whims of others. Time to jettison the fickle crew, you'll feel lighter as a consequence.Diamonds of Frost wrote: ↑Sat Jan 28, 2023 8:41 pm But. Nah...some (most) people are simply happy with their lot at a certain stage in life,to extent they don't even want/try make new matesDiamonds of Frost wrote: ↑Sat Jan 28, 2023 8:41 pm But. And will turn a blind eye to subtle bullying, while continuing with 'in jokes' between emselves..... objectively speaking it's self-limiting and selfish,(particularly turning blind eye to putdowns/bullying),but that's power of a crowd, and what they want for their lives......entire villages full of people like that about here

The limited service lifespan of modern silicon sealant meaning you're lucky if it's still doing the job at 7-8 years from application.
And the feckin' smell of the stuff.
I hate it. Next time it needs to be done, I'll go away for the weekend and pay someone to do it for me. It's a pain in the arse doing it, and there's next to no satisfaction when it's finished. Just sore hands, tired back and an acrid stench in my nostrils. A poxy job.
I'll see now if I can dispense with the odour by supping on a Jameson for a bit.

I should not have eaten the third scone now I can't sleep because my belly aches.
Thinking out loud, and trying to be occasionally less wrong...
