discussion on RTÉ about violence/sexual violence against women - porn's getting the blame here
some Indo bint on panel what won't shut up: "42 billion people in the year two thousand and nineteen visited ah Pornhub - which is, which is quite incredible credible.. it's more in one month than Netflix, Amazon and Twitter combined."
this is the kind of shít what'd annoy ya - "42 billion people visited" , not "42 billion visits"
not very "Upfront" from Ms Hannon by not pointing out that glaring error
#fkrte
some good comedy tho in fairness, albeit inadvertly - one of the other, and also female, talking heads: ".....research that looks at the links between porn and choking" . gold!
"choking" is main reason for watching it
EDIT: it were TD Josepha Madigan, and not a journo, what come out with the "42 billion people" quote

and why's it always "Pornhub?" . something well off about that - tis like they're (anyone in media/print media) obliged to mention just the one website - could be a bung in it for em

xvideos being my preferred x-rated site of choice

Re: Annoyances & Irritations
Pornhub has a very serious problem with underage people, people who are being subject to revenge porn and trafficked people being used to create the porn in far too many instances. It's real life abuse that people are using to get off on. I've also read many accounts from people who have worked in porn. The pain inflicted on far too many is horrible. Nothing as sexy as a prolapsed anus, eh.

Re: Annoyances & Irritations
"Per-joh" is out-and-out English pronuncation. There's no R in the word in French, so definitely no need to add one. It's peuh-JOH, accent on the second syllable.PlaneSpeeking wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 11:05 pm Irish pronunciations on adverts.

The German supermarket, though: unquestionably Leedl. Unless one is pandering to the uneducated peasants.

They did a big up a couple of years back. A lot of videos were taken down. The official line was they were streamlining their content. Unofficially there were mummers that many of the women in the videos were of questionable ageisha wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 3:33 am Pornhub has a very serious problem with underage people, people who are being subject to revenge porn and trafficked people being used to create the porn in far too many instances. as bad and annoying as that Peugeot pronunciation debate is; it's in penny place compared to that effin Hyundai/Hyun-day/Hy-Un-Day one; milkin' the same old pro-nownce-ee-ay-shun schtick - pretty bloody sad, and far more annoying

Re: Annoyances & Irritations
the amount of accounts (well, the actual number moreso) on this site. has been pretty much the same for the last few days
it was up to 667 posters/registered users a couple of days ago, but it's back to that figure minus one now, again - maybe the most recent registered poster cancelled her account or something (think it was a she anyhow - name began with a P) - and now it's reverted (the 'newest member' ) back to JBoy being the bearer of that position, having been usurped for a spell
i smell shenanigans

Number 667 turned out to be a spammer. Hence the short shelf life!Enoch Von Clausewitz wrote: ↑Thu Feb 23, 2023 1:44 pm the amount of accounts (well, the actual number moreso) on this site. has been pretty much the same for the last few days

Re: Annoyances & Irritations
I nicked this from somewhere but I can’t remember where - 667, the neighbour of the beast!
Re: Annoyances & Irritations
666 is considered the number of the sun.
It's auspicious to the Chinese
The Babylonians with their 36 obsession also liked it - all the numbers from 1 to 36 written down and added up equal 666. They wore amulets bearing the Magic square of the sun which is the numbers 1-36 laid out in 6 rows.
Carbon one of the most common atoms on earth is 6 electrons, 6 protons and 6 neutrons. Before it was associated in the Bible with the number of the beast it was previously mentioned as the weight of gold or talents that came to King Solomon

Internet security; passwords changed / updating security (or whatever it's called) and the likes,,,
but the abovementioned "cookies" - apparently those trackers of sites visited / time spent on them and the like are apparently "acceptable" ; no doubt because they make corporations money
but delete the effin things, and you'll find a lot of buffering / sites "trying" (on a/c of having recently deleted said cookies) to load up - and often failing; so ya have to suffer just because of doing the "right" thing 'security wise', and far as the bs goes, one should be "security conscious" when online
go figure

which brings me to me next, and a "same ballpark" annoyance:
on one of them annoying youtube ads, and related to folks' shopping habits, there's a spiel about some new piece of tech for shop/supermarket owners; and i think it involves a lot of "tracking" , ie the person's phone / how often they look/stay in a certain section of supermarket. feck that !
it's (the ad) basically making the observation / complaint that those "bold shoppers" aren't freely, or willingly providing enough data on themselves - the rotters
can't think of the name of the device/product involved, but da choonts make it sound like a good thing
Barstewards !
if i hear that ad again, i'll be sure remember what that invasive piece of tech is called

Suffering form a bout of Gastrointestinal that has floored me. Spent last night projectile vomiting. Which has least stopped. Think I'll head back to bed for a few hours.
Re: Annoyances & Irritations
B.S mechanics who keep saying that they've fixed the issue, that's causing the engine management lights to keep coming on in the dash of your van . . . And when you're two miles down the road, the van starts chugging and the lights come back on again.
