Brentford played well and deserved the win, solid in defence and looked exciting when attacking. Long way to go yet but 3 points closer to safety would be my thinking on them.

Arsenal, though, have fallen very far since Wenger left. Looking at the match last night, I couldn't see what way Arsenal were trying to play. I don't think Arteta has given them an identity or plan to play football yet, not that I can see anyway?

Perhaps an Arsenal fan might be able to comment because I wouldn't watch a lot of Arsenal anymore?

Arteta is way out of his depth. Its a testament to Wenger that he kept them in the top 4 for as long as he did. I had a nice little bet on Brentford so delighted they won.

Great result for spurs. Very early days but nice to see city drop points

The only downside is they will probably fork out the 140m for kane now

Is there a worse full back in the Premier league than Benjamin Mendy.

Utterly hopeless.

How he's even in city's squad let alone playing is beyond me.

In a world where Pep has blown his load on multiple defenders, Mendy is surely the worst of the lot. He looked good for Monaco (I think) before he joined them but since he did he has been mainly injured.

Any good football websites out there ? I read football365 from time to time buts it's gone massively downhill and it's full of pop up ads

I've been signed up to the Athletic for a few years now, has the best content out there in my opinion and it seems to have hoovered up all the best writers at this stage. Some really good in depth analysis.

Agree on Football365, it's a mess it this stage, if it's not adds it's redirecting you to a different site. I open it for winners/losers and that's about it these days....

Winners&losers is good on a Monday morning. That's about it. 16 conclusions used to be witty and clever.now it's just a run down of what's happened in the match.

I'm only there now out of habit

Thanks I'll check out the athletic

It’s pretty much always on offer as well, show should only be a few euro for the year.
