Going by the online reports in general, Nvidia wants to get as much bread as it can off prospective customers.
Look at Ryzen graphics cards. YouTube is your friend here. I recommend channels like JayzTwoCents.

The size of your power supply and the connectors it has will dictate your upgrade

True. My current PU is 1500W so that should cover most cards.

Okay, what is your requirement from the Gpu? Do you play modern PC games? What size and resolution is your monitor? And what is your budget?

I would like like to have a card that could easily handle high settings for any new Assassin's Creed, GTA or Elder scrolls games. I'm not into virtual reality or multiplayer.
My budget depends on my mood 🙂 but around a grand maybe a bit more.

You'll have no problem with that budget imo you should be looking at either a 10GB RTX 3080 (900ish) or a 12GB RTX 3080TI (1000-1100)

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/?query=3080

I have the 3080 myself in a pre built, it maxes absolutely everything at 1440p for me

Apologies, you'll not be able to buy from Overclockers. They used be registered for VAT here but now have this on their website
Brexit and Republic of Ireland: Due to restrictions imposed by import processes, we are no longer able to charge Irish VAT on orders. Customers will be contacted by the carrier to arrange payment of the relevant import taxes prior to delivery.
You'll be buying from Germany

I started looking at a few German sites last night.
I'm thinking of going with an Asus 3080Ti. My MB is Asus.
It's crazy what the prices are in Ireland.

The agents have the same sales psychology as the agents selling the Flagship smartphones / iphone etc

Keep an eye out for bargain 3090 and 3090Ti also, it's a very slight step up
