Guess the art/artist

Hidden beneath our sleeping moggie Megan, is a famous piece of art peeking out throw the dots.

But can you identify the artwork?

Yes, and Megan's pose is also a clue to the title.

Ah. I know what it is now. But I will let others guess.
It's the long sticky bits that made me know it was Dali.

The ginger hair on the puss cat's face is very striking against the black.

Looks more Sydney Nolan to me- but i'm no oficiando of Dali so I can't seem to find using his name, and when I look at the image - whereas Megan is eye candy. Is it really Salvatore's? or have I stumbled across fake art

Its definitely not a fake but a well known genuine Dali . . but I can see were you were going with the Sydney Nolan feel.

Is that a pyramid hiding behind Megan's lovely pink nose? The radiator reminds me of Augustus W Pugin's lovely home - is that the work of art apelles?

She's sleeping in my office at the moment, hiding out there from her brother Harry who keeps trying to ride her even though they're both neutered . . Very strange.
Anyway Fugue did you notice there's a written clue as well as the visual image?

I had to cave in and ask my art teacher friend - never found it before she showed it to me. She figured it out quickly!
