I'm still buying the odd First Day Cover that catches my eye and bought this one today for £3.60 from the Czech Republic. Despite my dislike for the 'European Project' I do like many of the stamps connected to it.

My latest acquisition - £2.50 on eBid - and which arrived from the UK this morning. Sent from the town where I grew up and I like the artwork - the stamps a bit meh.

Hi Celtic Rambler - your purchases are very nice examples.
I suggest Dublin Stamp Society as another way to study and collect stamps/ postal history, and to purchase from other members at reasonable rates. https://www.dublinstampsociety.com/blog
