So primary school kids to be vaccinated in the New Year according to the Taoiseach. Ironically enough the government does not want to rush it!
Asked if he thought that the roll out of vaccines to primary school children could happen before Christmas, Mr Martin said he did not think that was possible given the organisational and logistical challenges it poses even though he was confident companies could meet the demand for vaccines.

The government were playing with the numbers at the covid outset, which they admitted to giving incorrect numbers, and seem to be doing it yet again.

Another thing I found interesting the in video PureIsle posted was the slightly random snippet of Boris Johnson admitting a rather serious flaw in the so called "vaccine". Here is the same clip embedded in a tweet which emphasises the salient point:

Words fail me. Thundering gobshytes.

The Garda’s most secretive unit has been deployed to take on far right groups involved in anti-vaccine protests, it has emerged.

The Star has learned that the National Surveillance Unit has now been ordered to spy on the right-wing activists that are becoming more active all over Ireland — and more of a concern for Garda bosses.

“The NSU is full steam on them now,” a source said last night. “It’s a major deployment.”

The NSU is a hush-hush Garda organisation that normally mounts undercover operations against major gangsters and terrorists — and the fact that they have been deployed shows just how seriously gardai are taking the threat from right-wingers.

The deployment comes as officers express concerns that right wing extremists have infiltrated anti-vaccine and anti-lockdown protests that have taken root all over Ireland — and are using them to spread their racist and bigoted hate.

In fairness if there is a genuine problem of extremists infiltrating anti lockdown/vaxx protests to "to spread their racist and bigoted hate" I don't really have a problem with the gardai getting involved to ensure no laws are broken.

I'd agree it's slightly concerning given the risk that every day we seem to be getting closer to the idea that saying "I don't want to vaccinate my 5 year old" is viewed as anti social behaviour, detrimental to the rest of society, not unlike bigoted hate, and the gardai will end up policing that instead.

Just clicked on a Reuters link to read a news article and before I could proceed there was a splash screen informing me that:

Mad to think that if you are an Austrian citizen, come March, you will have the right to not consent to cookies on your browser, but no right to not consent to a medical intervention!

One of my daughters friends had a thriving business going for a while making custom pattern masks with a sewing machine in her bedroom. In fact, custom reusable masks were quite the cottage industry here for a while. Maybe still is?

Yes, I know lots of people made cloth masks, including my own daughter who supplied all her neighbours and had a full order book for months. I even did it at first and sent them to my family members as gifts. I now use only FFP2 masks though.

And yes, I am aware that by purchasing those I am participating in the global slave system. As I am eating bananas, using mobile phone etc etc ad nauseum. I was pointing out the sickening reality for us all, not just for others. Child labour in the service of the pandemic. Though I have to say in this case there is also the additional factor of non-sterile environments.

My daughter makes her own - ineffective IMO - masks, and now I can see she is much better off!

Those swabs can hardly be uncontaminated by the time they are sealed.

I think cloth masks are less effective, though they do something and particularly if close woven or in layers. Some say 70% filtration see below.
Still I would not like to see a surgeon or a dentist wearing a cloth mask s/he bought on Etsy or tugging up their snood before diving in.
(And I don't care if they are an improvement on the ripped up shirts or pigs bladders or whatever surgeons used to wear in the long ago and rinsed out in the river on the way home).

Would you be comfortable being treated by someone wearing one of those masks from the video you posted?
Personally I would prefer if they were unmasked!

BTW you really think a mask is going to help, while maintaining 'social distance', if the person wearing it is not sneezing or coughing?

This might be an additional option to the existing vaccine arsenals, but I just came across it so i know nothing about them,
So Sherry has been waiting for the menu of vaccine options available to her to expand. In particular, she is holding out for a vaccine built from purified proteins. Unlike the relatively new technologies that the mRNA and viral-vector COVID-19 shots are based on, protein vaccines have been used for decades to protect people from hepatitis, shingles and other viral infections. To elicit a protective immune response, these shots deliver proteins, along with immunity-stimulating adjuvants, directly to a person’s cells, rather than a fragment of genetic code that the cells must read to synthesize the proteins themselves.

Although protein vaccines are not yet in widespread use for COVID-19, late-stage clinical-trial data so far look promising, demonstrating strong protection with fewer side effects than other COVID-19 shots typically cause.

Tricky questions and makes me have to think about things I am ignoring.

I just like my dentist to have a proper ordinary surgical mask. My dentist is great anyway as he has proper air filtering in place.
Outside I never wear masks. In any circumstance.

If I was inside with a crowd of people I don't know I would prefer people wear a mask.
I honestly don't know how much masks help - it is an area that I have not thought about as deeply as it warrants. I am thinking that it helps at least somewhat in closed environments. People say different things about masks, that they don't work so much etc - and they might be right. I am just risk averse re Covid.

This masks thing does not apply to visitors to my home - I just mean in indoor settings with others, like shops or banks etc. But family and friends who visit me for overnight or longer stays do spit tests and I do a test before going to others places.

I don't go into social settings eg cafes restaurants pubs etc due to not being permitted for being unvaccinated. So don't know how I would feel in there. I don't miss that aspect of life that much at all.

Just for me personally I am being extra cautious as I do not know the full story with this virus and its long term implications. That separates me from quite a percentage of the vaccine resistant - being fairly concerned about SARS COV 2 in addition to the vaccines.

I know that I will have to work on that and get ''braver'' eventually, as I do not plan on being vaccinated with these injections and I also want to have a normal life. Especially I miss traveling abroad - I just looked at some old photos from Christmas 2019 abroad and damn but it made me lonely for unknown places. But right now heading into winter 2021, the second in a pandemic which is usually the worst winter, is not the time to start that process in my opinion :D

The Circulation is the Journal of the American Heart Association which recently published a paper titled Mrna COVID Vaccines Dramatically Increase Endothelial Inflammatory Markers and ACS Risk as Measured by the PULS Cardiac Test: a Warning

The ACS Risk is "a score predicting the 5 yr risk (percentage chance) of a new Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS)". Unfortunately it seems only the abstract is freely available online, in which there is no comment at how accurate that prediction has proved in the past.

Nonetheless it sounds worrying. They measured a group of 566 patients who they had monitored prior to injections, and found most of them showed "dramatic changes in the PULS score", after receiving the vaccination.

"These changes resulted in an increase of the PULS score from 11% 5 yr ACS risk to 25% 5 yr ACS risk." That's a hell of an increased risk of acute coronary syndrome.
We conclude that the mRNA vacs dramatically increase inflammation on the endothelium and T cell infiltration of cardiac muscle and may account for the observations of increased thrombosis, cardiomyopathy, and other vascular events following vaccination.

It is. I posted it yesterday. Dr Gundry is again one of the many assassinated personalities in the media. The crazies who people were previously happy to have working on their actual hearts doing complex surgery or teaching top level medical courses in Universities or running Ebola vaccine programs - ya know, those kind of lunatic reprobates.
Regardless of how he is viewed, other qualified people should urgently review his findings and publication for the sake of science and humankind. To do otherwise is serious dereliction of duty of care.

I can understand how a mask would help, even with social distancing, if the person was coughing or sneezing, thus expelling spittle etc at high velocity across the distance.
It must be very rare for a person to cough or sneeze without using some form of barrier ...... hand; into elbow or whatever .... so to me the risk to others of not wearing a mask is negligible compared to wearing one.
Mask or no mask I breathe in the same air so it has no benefit to the wearer ..... again unless someone else is shooting spittle across the room.
Outside or inside my own home I never wear a mask.
Visitors, vaxed, unvaxed or recovered are not asked to wear a mask in my home ..... in fact are asked if they want to take it off should they arrive wearing one.

Reminds me, I collected a friend from the airport yesterday, who came in from England on his way from an African country. Neither of us wore masks in my car.
On my way home I met a car whose driver was the only person in the car ..... and he was wearing a mask!
Some people have lost all sense.

Apologies, I did see your post yesterday but didn't register when read the abstract today it was the same study.

I scanned the post and didn't look too closely to the detail of it, largely I must admit because you caveated it that he was a maverick!

Just googled him and I see that many are critical of his views on plant proteins, but also that according to the New York Times he is a "pioneer in infant heart transplant surgery".

I do find it odd that the trust science/doctors brigade are so quick to dismiss science/doctors.

Apparently there is a correlation between a huge drop in cases in Japan and allowing doctors to prescribe ivermectin. Might be too early to say for certain.

Did a quick search for that and most of the first page of results came back with results like this

Japan has not approved ivermectin as Covid-19 treatment

The poster knows that very well. S/he has to, it's there in the article. S/he has deliberately misrepresented what it contains. It's not the first time on this thread. This site has whole anti vaxx threads that are based on misinformation, Pfizer Employee Blows Whistle type stuff.

I guess it's an inevitable by product when the argument really amounts to science v anti science, experts v people who have started googling this stuff in the past 18 months and think they're experts.
