Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin announces first Covid restrictions for the Russian capital since the summer

From October 25 to February 25, Muscovites over 60 years of age and vulnerable citizens will need to remain home unless vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19 within the last 6 months.

It’s the 60+ age that’s in danger, let the rest of society get on with living life, how the Irish are accepting continued restrictions when Norway has reclassified Covid 19 as no more dangerous than the seasonal flu is puzzlingly, zero fight left in the Irish by the looks of it, just rolling over and taking it.
I genuinely hope we see a bit of civil disobedience in the coming months, you can see what they have planned, pubs with vaccinated only, and we know the vaccine is not working so case numbers will rise, they will of course blame the unvaccinated for the increase in cases despite not been in the pubs and we will have a new lock down in the new year, “If we lock down now we can have a Normal St.Patrick’s day”.

Tinfoil hat time!
Only countries that printed trillions of money out of nothing are going mad to lock down and destroy economy, is it to cover up the crazy monetary policies, blame covid for the economic collapse and not the money printers?

Yep, Ive always thought this, protect the vulnerable, make the airports alot more secure in terms of who can come in & out, re-open society & let people get on with it.

Since things have started to open up again, there seems to be a lethargy around the place & a genuinely depressed type of feeling. No doubt mental health has suffered hugely, obesity has risen sharply, domestic violence issues have risen, suicide has no doubt risen amongst many other tings. We have had one of the longest and strictest lockdowns in the world. Enough is enough.

Im all for protecting society but not at the expense of society itself

Russia is now the world leader in coronavirus deaths for the first time since the start of the pandemic.(according to The Moscow Times)(i think they mean the amount of deaths registered in a single week, but they also are calculating excess mortality)

They reported a new one day death toll of 1,241 from covid aswell as 39,256 cases two days ago.

Most of Russia's 80-plus regions lifted a week-long workplace shutdown at the beginning of the week that was designed to curb a surge in case numbers.

The Times are also reporting that Russia will introduce health passes for access to public places, restaurants and intercity trains and planes in a radical move designed to boost Russia's sluggish vaccination campaign. At least they're honest with their rationale.

It is estimated that nearly 85% of their beds allocated for Covid are now filled.

"Russia’s autumn surge in infections and deaths comes amid low vaccination rates, lax public attitudes toward taking precautions and the government’s reluctance to toughen restrictions" -AP
