Anyone still glued to this?
Re: Anyone still glued to this?
Trump has sold em.down the river ......next two weeks will show exactly what power he holds or what power the CIA holds in America
Because this war was an unbelievable success for them, bleed Russia dry and do it using aging/out of date weapons,I strongly suspect this war is far from over however,
This summer offensive that Ukraine has been laying groundwork for, won't be settled until that's over imho

US wont be happy unless it gets its hands on Ukraines massive amounts of valuable assets like uranium and rare earth minerals at the top of the list.
Not to mention some of the large US companies being involved with the rebuilding. Ukraine has to pay back the generosity of the US somehow. he he he he.

Re: Anyone still glued to this?
It's a form of colonisation of its own.....borrow heavily on vague terms to poorer countries and then asset strip them for mega corporation's when they can't pay,a modern day east India company,if you willkadman wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 10:42 am US wont be happy unless it gets its hands on Ukraines massive amounts of valuable assets like uranium and rare earth minerals at the top of the list.

Russia will roll across your borders to take the country by force, while America will let on to protect you, when get you hooked use the situation to rob your country their own way...... Ukraine could be one of wealthiest countries in the world,if it was in the EU and corruption reigned in,now it has no future only to make either American or russian overlords rich......
quite the indictment for those in Irish establishment, government and media who shouted down any peace proposals years ago, only now they've left millions dead and a entire country future stolen

It’s a war of attrition, do you really want to see it continue with countless wasted deaths every day? For what? Crimea? Luhansk? Donetsk?
Speak to any Ukrainian in Ireland, they all want peace. The only people wanting this to continue are ideological idiots or the war complex.
There is no win condition for Ukraine, Russia have nukes.

Aye.....looks like it depends who Ukraine wants to colonise them, the yanks or the Russians.....either way, they're country is fucked and future is robbed.....our grate forests have never recovered from when the British stole them, Ukraines mineral reserves will never recover from the yanks and Russians robbing themknownunknown wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 3:02 pm It’s a war of attrition, do you really want to see it continue with countless wasted deaths every day? No one colonizing anything. Crimea, which is what started all this in the first place, is majority ethnically Russian, they voted for Russian control, they are Russian speakers and consider themselves Russian.Setanta wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 4:01 pm Aye.....looks like it depends who Ukraine wants to colonise them, the yanks or the Russians.....either way, they're country is fucked and future is robbed.....our grate forests have never recovered from when the British stole them, Ukraines mineral reserves will never recover from the yanks and Russians robbing them
Same with Donetsk and Luhansk.
We also ceded Irish land to the uk for the prospect of peace.

By asset stripping the country and taking their minerals,it's effective colonisation....either they serve russian or yank overlordsNo one colonizing anything
We didn't cede a square inch of Irish land,it's still Irish, and still on island of Ireland and we still overwhelmingly want it backWe also ceded Irish land to the uk for the prospect of peace.

So there was this little thing called The Treaty. Singed in 1921 which ended the War of Independence. Whereby the Irish delegation in return for the creation of a 26 county Free State ceded the 6 counties of Northern Ireland to BritainSetanta wrote: ↑Mon Feb 24, 2025 4:23 pm By asset stripping the country and taking their minerals,it's effective colonisation....either they serve russian or yank overlords

Re: Anyone still glued to this?
Is it true, this treaty gave 32 counties, but 6 voted to cede after it,with this vote not being held in the dail?.....all imposed under threat of violence from the British?Return of the Mac wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 9:08 am So there was this little thing called The Treaty. Seems to me,your "understanding" like everything else the left touchs is poor and lacking in detail..... actually while we're on this, how many of the TDs were pro treaty at the break, since your the lefts self annointed expert, and happy to pedel the lies upon which the free state is based, time to extract some further information and explanation as to why this isn't taught in detail or substance in schools here

Yes. Under the terms of the Treaty the 6 counites of Ulster had the option to join the Free State or Op out. They were always going to opt out and that did not require a vote in the Dail. And when the delegation signed the Treaty they knew this would be the case. Again as I have have stated I am not left wing. It seems that anyone who disagrees with you is a leftist. Bizarre attitude.Setanta wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 10:57 am Is it true, this treaty gave 32 counties, but 6 voted to cede after it,with this vote not being held in the dail?.....all imposed under threat of violence from the British?

Finally read the Dail debates on the Treaty. Partition was by no means the main issue

So.did.they.opt out or was it ceded?Under the terms of the Treaty the 6 counites of Ulster had the option to join the Free State or Op out.
Pedels free state lies and trusims, adores mega corporation's and regards developing a domestic economy as far right, resorts to abuse and trolling when destroyed with facts and logic ...if cap fits, wear it.....the left have run this country into the ground and now they are facing into their now annual dumping migrants In the Dublin mountains as part of their Paddy's day celebrations.... leaving it to ordinary people to fix their messAgain as I have have stated I am not left wing. When the Irish delegation signed the Treaty they knew the 6 Counties would opt out. So they effectively ceded the six Counties. The rest of your post is ill informed nonsenseSetanta wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 1:43 pm So.did.they.opt out or was it ceded?

For the final time. They signed the treaty in the full knowledge that the Six Counties would cede. So yes they were cededed
Re: Anyone still glued to this?
Was the treaty ceded them,or did it happen afterwards,in a vote, that didn't occur within the dail?Return of the Mac wrote: ↑Wed Feb 26, 2025 3:16 pm For the final time. They signed the treaty in the full knowledge that the Six Counties would cede. So yes they were cededed
All.enforced by the usual British threat of violence against us?

Cathalans got a vote too, without threat of military pressure, but the Spanish ignored it and sent in police and soldiers after the fact to shut it down.... thankfully the EU isn't evil to a level of hypocrisy and supports democratic principles in its own territoryknownunknown wrote: ↑Thu Feb 27, 2025 10:34 pm Crimea got to vote too, if that helps. They chose Russia.

Bad day for leftists and dronies yesterday after zelensky and trump has a bizzare fall out on sky news and he refused to sign away his countries future to the yanks (imo he desont have the mandate to do so)

So you’re now arguing against the point you spent the last page making?

Speaking of which....what was the Irish governments representations,to the EU, of a European country deploying police to break up a referendum vote for cathalonia?....or do we just ignore European affairs around democracy?Return of the Mac wrote: ↑Mon Mar 03, 2025 9:13 pm We are part of Europe. It's easy to throw shade about democracy elsewhere, while the left suppresses democracy in Europe....Irish people voted for the triple lock as part of Lisbon treaty,if we abolish it,we can and should begin the process of disentangling from the EU,the torch paper on this has been lit by the left here
We're better alone, than have irish people slaughtered for a leftish wet dream of free markets and free movement...I certainly can't see too many willing to give their lives for it anyway
