P.ie had a funny thread keeping an eye on lunatic Gemma O'doherty. She was recently caught red handed using burner accounts praising her own articles  here is some of her latest nonsense https://gemmaodoherty.substack.com/p/ma ... x-fire-the

Ah the gays were just after her handbag, FFS.

It's cheering to know that there's always someone even madder around the corner. No doubt Gemma regards Donald and JD as effete gay-loving liberals.

I remember when her haters were calling for her to be kicked off twitter on another board. Then as soon as it happened people kept making new posts repeating whatever she said.

She’s clearly an unwell woman who has been through a lot, she used to be a great journalist.

Just let her fade off into obscurity, it’s not her fans that are constantly amplifying her.

she used to be a great journalist.

Nonsense, she was an absolute nonentity features and travel writer during her INM/mainstream media days, she had absolutely no name recognition amongst the general public like say Paul Williams or Nicola Tallant or John waters. You'd swear she was an Irish version of Woodward & Bernstein the way she's retconned her INM days

She threw a few (admittedly well deserved) potshots at the Gardai, and it helped that Moscow Mick and Ming were on the case as well, as they still had their 'progressive' halos at the time.

Her firing had a chilling effect on Irish journalism. The establishment hated her because she wouldn’t let things go. Our media is state funded, having independent journalists that don’t let things go especially when it comes to government are really important and few and far between.

Transparency Ireland said:
Dublin, 19 September 2013 - The sacking of an award-winning investigative journalist who had reported on Garda malpractice could deter other reporters from exposing the abuse of power in Ireland.
[…]
The National Union of Journalists has stated that Ms O’Doherty has been unfairly treated and is supporting her case for unfair dismissal. TI Ireland is calling for her reinstatement, and for the introduction of editorial policies that protect the independence of investigative journalists and editorial staff at all newspaper groups in Ireland.
While the special rapporteur at the UN even made a deal about it back in 2014.
