The military establishment, their cheer leaders (mainly ex members) and friends in the media are really whooping things up now with the publication of The Commission on the Defence Forces Report https://www.rte.ie/documents/news/2022/ ... eeb336.pdf but even the response to the report is predictably shambolic. Demands for better pay and a sexist culture taking the high round instead of the utter nonsense of spending billions on fighter jets, new ships etc..etc.
What next - does Ireland need its own nuclear deterrent?
