The US government shutdown has been going on for a record amount of time. Government employees have not been paid in months, they were just reducing the amount of planes arriving at airports because air traffic controllers were burnt out.

The release of these emails came exactly as the government reopened. It was the House Oversight Committee who released them, they have been sitting on these emails for years. When the democratic members of the House Oversight Committee released three emails pertaining only to Trump, the conservative members released the entire batch.

You have to ask yourself, why now? Why didn’t they release them during the presidential election, or when Biden was in power?

If there was a smoking gun against Trump those emails would have been released years ago, that’s one certain inference you can draw.

I'm not sure such an inference is at all certain.

Of course the e-mails could have, and would have, been released years ago - if Trump wasn't the only one holding a smoking gun.
