SAG Birmingham, who issues licences for public events, have banned Tel Aviv fans from travelling to West Ham next month citing security concerns and this report from Birmingham police.
PM Keir Starmer said he is “angered by the ban” and will do “everything in his power” to overturn it.
The SAG and the police are framing this as stopping those nasty racist supporters from causing wide spread violence and destruction but there is no historic justification for such an action.
A labour councillor, Zaffar, is apparently a member of this board who was reprimanded by his own party back in 2016 for anti semitism. He also actively called for a boycott of this game back in February and declared he wouldn’t attend if it went ahead.

Re: Birmingham bans Tel Aviv Supporters
It’s the right thing to do. This isn’t being done to punish the visiting fans but because there is reason to believe that the event or the visiting fans could become a target.
If the match went ahead and something did happen the outrage would be deafening.

Should apparently be watched on a ferry, but nowhere else.
