Ireland's Obesity Crisis

It's no secret Ireland has severe problems with health and fitness. Shouldn't be surprising considering our lifestyles, however 1 in 4 Irish children are obese or overweight https://www.rte.ie/radio/radio1/stories ... n-orourke/
and that is only scratching the surface of this issue.
Safefood have been running ads online, on the radio and on the TV for the past decade but they haven't done anything to fix the problem. In countries like Mexico, they're beginning to put restrictions on food advertising and sales to help fix Mexico's issues with public health.
What are your suggestions on how to end this crisis and how would you implement them?
