Bragg's argument is: when a woman feels physical attraction to women solely, she's a lesbian (correct) therefore when a man feels like he's a woman... he's a woman. I mean, what in god's name?! He's comparing sexual orientation/sexuality to an adult female human. Cognitive dissonance really brings out the stupid.
Another such man is Frankie Boyle. Used to love him too until the absolute scumbag thing he said about Katie Price's profoundly disabled son. But he used to be genuinely subversive, then that changed to just being outrageous for the sake of it... now he's as conformist as can be. Oh he still takes the piss out of people - but only easy targets like GC women. With a "be kind" undercurrent (from the guy who made a joke concerning sexual violence in relation to a disabled boy. Fuq Frankie Boyle).
I was demoted from a senior management position a few months back because I repeatedly objected at every executive management meeting to a policy requiring staff to include their pronouns in their email signatures. This is a long running battle for me in which I kept removing the rainbow flag logo background from the company LinkedIn page during the travesty that is ‘Pride month’ last year. Work is for working, keep that crap on your own time.
I refused to add the pronouns, naturally. It’s absolutely ridiculous. But the virtue signalling gobsheite leading HR operations started to get formal about it, making waves as far as one of our board members to make me fall into line. Nope. Not doing it.
Instead, I insisted on being addressed as Mr. Jaysus and told the ‘People and Culture’ idiots that I won’t be misgendered if staff complied with that instruction. Well, I don’t work there any longer. 5 years of hard graft and I ended up being taken down by an ugly minded virtue signalling millennial with a pudding bowl haircut and trousers too short to wear with a pair of boots. They (the company, not this dope’s pronoun) offered me a nice package to PFO, quietly. Happy to oblige, as working with daydreamers who can’t tell the difference between a man and a woman isn’t what I want to be doing every day.
That pregnant woman pictured above needs to cop the f’on. I certainly can’t be sure as I don’t know all of the effects and limitations of the various medical and hormonal treatments these people can receive, but it appears that this mother to be may have had ‘top surgery’ also. Am I likely to be wrong? Baby XYZ looks likely to miss out on any chance of benefiting from breastfeeding in that case. Way to go Mum!

Wow, i really admire that you stood up for reality and against this all consuming ideology, Jay Zeus. And really sorry that it meant losing your job. But maybe.... hopefully....life is better now. I'm not brave enough to take any political position publicly in work because I can't afford to lose the income. Fortunately so far it only impinges as far as some colleagues making virtuous statements which I ignore. Crazy that we are at this point in history.

This resonates with me too - I'm on that downhill toward retirement and can't afford to lose the income or mess up my pension contributions. I've been lucky so far in that most of the D&I stuff has been fairly watered down and HR hasn't been 'captured'. I get the feeling they're sensible folks doing the bare minimum to conform without popping up on any activist radar.
I think if came to it I'd have to resist but maybe make my resistance a little more subversive - play the innocent thick, or deliberately confound the system, maybe apply for menopause leave, get a letter from a psychotherapist detailing my gender confusion and take stress leave and so on.
I was thinking about your rainbow background on LinkedIn, JayZeus. That you justifiably removed. Because essentially the whole Pride thing in employment situations is about bringing your whole self to work, including your sexual orientation ( and now your dreams of being the opposite sex). But where is the flag for swingers? People who get off on feet? Old fashioned cross dressers who just like a tight piece of lingerie under their suit pants and nothing more? Where are the flags for those in polycules? For porn aficionados? People who are horny for ears, hair, navels and the elderly? This virtuous flag strewing doesn't seem all that inclusive to me.

Oxfam have issued this statement a few hours ago. I guess being told that not only are gender critical beliefs protected by case law in the UK, and TERF is a court recognised slur, but also Rowling is not afraid to litigate.

Watching Forced Out on Sky, a documentary about the ban on gay men and lesbians serving in the military in the UK.
It’s tragic to hear the blatant and vile homophobia from UK MPs and others - but worse to see all captions say “LGBTQ+ ban”.
