I've read those also (I mentioned I'm familiar with several 'similar' cases in my earlier reply), but each of those cases is distinctly different than the others and in very different legal jurisdictions and systems. I'm not excusing anything here, but there's little in common except that they are transgender offenders and their gender dysphoria is introduced in legal defence or appeals and so on. There's nothing to be gained really by suggesting that there should be a standard for how these things are handled, because there's no unification across those various jurisdictions on how they apply their own laws etc etc.Cyclepath wrote: ↑Wed Oct 18, 2023 10:31 am JZ, you can doggedly pursue this point but can you also consider this point; Upon reading the quoted article, a woman might just react with annoyance at yet another example of a certain type of man using transition to create the circumstance in which they can get special treatment.
There are other documented cases of this happening, e.g.

I don't think anyone reading any of PSs other commentary on this site could conclude that she's a misandrist!
I'd hardly label PS a misandrist. But we're all capable of acting in ways that aren't in keeping with our broader intentions, character etc. Creating a false equivalence and declaring that men have another loophole to beat and rape women and walk away free, that's the kind of thing that's absolutely right in there with the kind of things one could very reasonably see as acts of misandry.
It may not be intended, but the effect is the same. Sticking to that position when someone points out that's is simply not true, that just makes it worse.
