Former GAA star under investigation for alleged fraud sought cancer treatment money almost a decade ago
The former player, who is not being named for legal reasons, has been accused of taking significant sums of money from people for specialist treatment for cancer.
The Garda National Economic Crime Bureau is investigating whether the retired player deceived friends and business acquaintances into lending him money for medical and other bills.
Detectives are examining whether or not he falsely claimed that he had cancer when he approached people looking for the money. The prominent former player is understood to have agreed loan arrangements with those from whom he took the money.
The sums involved range from a few thousand euro to more than €100,000.

Who knows. But the papers do seem to paying a lot of attention to DJ Carey's financial affairs at the minute for some reason.

Are we the only country that have the media cowing to an illegal immigrant telling us how bad we are that we take in every single gobshite on the planet with a sub story that the X Factor wouldn’t even fall for.
Just shocked that fcking awful pox Ebun Joseph hasn’t stuck her oar in. Probably too busy race baiting with ribena again.

Like everything to do with the Gardai - the removal of these drivers from Irish roads should be like shooting fish in a barrel but they don't seem to be able to get a grip on the situation.

After reading about this on RTE website and I really did say WTF!! The noble false widow spider, which is now prevalent in most parts of Ireland, shows its chops by catching a pygmy shrew in its web in the UK, administers its toxic venom, which gradually dissolves the animal, all ready for the spider to feast on. As a rule, I don't deliberately kill spiders, even the big house ones, but these guys are not welcome in my eyes. I spied one of them in my car boot last year in old plastic and very quickly disposed of him. Google them so you know what to look out for!!

They're nasty little feckers. My garage is full of them so I'm very careful when I go in there. They dont generally go into houses but if they do they like make their webs around the top & bottoms of window ceils. I make sure I clean them on a regular basis.quodec wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 8:34 pm After reading about this on RTE website and I really did say WTF!! This might be someone who became black pilled. He was so sick of the woke he decided to show it up for the absurdity that it is. Maybe he hopes to get fired for discrimination.isha wrote: ↑Fri Sep 16, 2022 4:42 pm I thought this was a joke but apparently it's true if you read the article. I was going to do a post asking for people's opinions on what happened to the gun with which Mark Middleton "shot himself".knownunknown wrote: ↑Wed Feb 22, 2023 9:40 pm Former Clinton aide and Jeffrey Epstein associate gets suicided.

Today I might get round to listening to Whitney Webb's podcast on him. She says that if she ever writes volume 3 of her huge book One Nation Under Blackmail, it will mostly be about Mark Middleton. I don't know whether Whitney is always correct, but she certainly reads a lot of primary resources and everything she claims is footnoted from them.

He must have hid the gun after he used, and tied himself with electrical cord

Not sure if any Guburinos are gamers but a game was recently released called Atomic Heart.
From Wikipedia -
"Atomic Heart takes place on the grounds of Facility 3826, the Soviet Union's foremost scientific research hub in an alternate history 1955"
The developers of the game are Mundfish - a company based in Cyrus with offices and links in Russia.
Mundfish maintain they are politically neutral in world affairs.
Apparently, this isn't good enough for Ukraine who criticized "the developers of the game did not come out with a public statement condemning the Putin regime" and the Russian invasion of Ukraine."
Erm, ok.
There's also some sexy female robots in the game (great) but a tenuous link to them looking like some Ukrainian politician is now being used to further brand the game as controversial.
I never had much respect for Russia. I remember the Berlin Wall still being up. I've since met people who grew up in Soviet states - grim.
However, the saintly uber-puritanism of the Ukraine crusade doesn't do itself any favours.
I just wanted to get a game review and Im blasted with "pOLiTIcS !!"
I miss Eisenhower.

A company I follow on LinkedIn posted about their diversity and inclusion awards.
They had a guest speaker who by the looks of things was a little person.
The poor lady could barely reach the top of the podium.
Not very inclusive to invite a little person to speak and make absolutely no effort to accommodate their needs.
In fact, it's bloody bad form.

I’ve been an opponent of the lab leak hypothesis from day 1, but the department of energy has now floated that idea, according to the Wall Street journal. Not sure how much the energy dpt. know about health, virus and immunology mind you.
Seems like another, “oh, look over here” moment.

Thought ye might like to know about the new filters on TikTok. I have never tried one but my daughter was telling me loads of people use them. The new ones are apparently much more stable, you can touch your face, move loads etc and there's no glitching. These are going to cause body dysphoria. A few examples.

Holy feck Isha that filter is stupidly good.

The woke moralists have taken Dilbert creator Scott Adam’s hyperbole out of context and have cancelled him. The typical woke publications like USA today and the Washington post. They understand context when it suits and purposefully ignore it when it doesn’t.
Re: Re: WTF moment of the day
I don't understand what is going on with Scott Adams. I can't get his humour. Is he joking at the moment re the race stuff? I also found him hard to understand re vaccine. He says I made a mistake, you ("antivax") guys were right, and then he makes constant mocking posts then about people who didn't take the shots. I wondered recently if he is well. His marriage broke down not so long ago. But maybe it's a type of sardonic humour that I'm not good at picking up?
