Race and dating preferences

#1

Post by mariannaspring »

Do you think that one can be racist for having a dating preference? I don't think so given as the majority of people don't choose what they find attractive but it's a debate that's been going on for a couple of years now.

During COVID, Grindr removed their race filter in support of Black Lives Matter. It really sparked controversy among people.

I find almost no one attractive. Luckily I met the one chap with whom I was happy to exchange spit very early in life. If I hadn't I would have been in trouble because in my opinion the world is full of weird hairy loud people. I don't care what race anyone is.

No, of course not. Anyone who thinks it's racist is a braindead moron.

Okay I will take the bait and be racist. If I was to find anyone attractive it would be very tall, slightly tanned, chisel-jawed, blue eyed Scandinavian men. But my family name is of Viking origin so that probably explains that racism. If I was a heterosexual man I would be stupidly in love with Indian women, too many of them are just adorable. I would be racist about all the rest of them, especially Canadians.

Interesting. Would you say you're turned off by the aesthetics of black men or the stereotype of black people?

It's an important distinction to make. A lot of people would say that white people are perceived as more attractive around the world not because of how they look but because what being white symbolizes i.e wealth and education.

To some woke fools - more than likely but it’s like Saturday Night Live taking the piss out the Irish and getting Melissa McCarthy to play Brendan Gleeson…. We couldn’t give a fck!!!

Never found blondes attractive, particularly the Marilyn Monroe, Jayne Mansfield type, all tits and pouting. In fact there was one blonde in my group during my teens/twenties who seemed to have a strong attraction to me and who I avoided like the plague. This led my male friends, on occasion, to question my sexual proclivity, but not my female friends, who never had any doubts in that direction. :D

Purely physical - just none of them have ever done it for me. Nothing deeper than that.

Ah go on, take one for the team and report your findings back here. You never know . . I've heard it suggested that once you go black you never go back.

Hmm being asked to sleep with someone I don’t want to - I’m sure there’s a word for that …

I know that some guys won’t date Chinese people because they don’t respect copyright laws. Fair enough IMO.
