Is this racist or not? With all the anti racism campaigns involved in football today there are many defending a footballer who called a police officer a “stupid white b*stard”.

The belief goes that racism = power+privilege so without the power then it can’t be racist. I think this is one of the most stupid woke ideas I’ve ever heard.

She is being criminally charged with racial aggravation, but had this been a male footballer racially abusing a non-white player we all know this story would be massive. The double standard is what gets me, and I say this as a non-white person.

I had to Google this story as hadn't heard about it before this thread. That in itself is telling. What is also telling are the knots that idiots are tying themselves in trying to defend this. If it's about "power", is it acceptable to call a black police officer (of which there are many in the UK) a stupid black bastard?
