So, Donald Trump has been found guilty by a jury of his peers, in front of a sworn court of Justice. His immediate reaction, and that of his hangers on, is that the process was corrupt, all the members of the Justice system in New York are corrupt and that this is the latest instalment in the witch hunt designed to prevent him being reelected in November.
This reminds me of the story that W.C Fields used to tell, where, on conviction, a defendant's reaction was "There are 250 million people in this country, only 12 of them thought I was guilty".
This is. in essence, what Trump is trying, and to a large part succeeding, in convincing the US public of. People don't seem to see the overwhelming evidence, including from his own mouth, that the man is devoid of every modicum of the integrity that most people take for granted. Are there twelve extended families in New York in need of police protection today, simply for doing their Civic duty and sitting on a Jury? How can any decent citizen of the U.S. condone this behaviour and worse still, elect this man to lead the "free" world.
This is an example of the power of social media, where anything goes and fact checking is not considered a necessary process.

Trump, the eternal victim.
Re: Trump, the eternal victim.
If you genuinely think that Donald Trump isn't the victim of a political witch hunt, then I have nothing else to say to you. You have to be aware that biden is as corrupt as feck. These particular charges against trump is flawed at best, and political interference at worst. Do you believe that if Trump wasn't the nominee, he would have been charged, nevermind convicted of these charges?
