15% tariff minimum on all EU exports to US, an extra c€80 billion in Trumps coffers to bolster his domestic agendas. 0% tariffs on USA goods coming into the EU and we guarantee to buy a heap of their gas and munitions etc. What sort of deal is that??

Why is this a good idea, the EU is supposedly one of the largest and most influential markets in the world.

Ursula Von der Leyen admitted there was a trade imbalance before these tariffs ever took effect. There was a surplus on the EU side and a deficit on the US side. (7mins 10s below).

She has now said this deal is a “good conclusion for both sides”. The GDP for the US is 50% more than that of the EU despite having less than half of the population.

Don’t let your hate for Trump cloud your perspective, this is a good deal for the EU.
