I listened to a story on the radio of an Irish woman who traveled to Switzerland an had assisted suicide without a terminal illness Link. Her family was only informed when they received her ashes in the post.
There's been a lot of discussion in Ireland about bringing it here but others say they're concerned about the slippery slope where it might be expanded to non-terminal physical illnesses or mental illnesses like Canada/Netherlands. Her family was only informed when they received her ashes in the post.
