At the US Supreme Court today in testimony on the subject of 'birthright citizenship' a bunch of people descended from immigrants argued back and forth about the 14th amendment of the US Contitution. As a reminder..
Key Aspects of the 14th Amendment:
Citizenship Clause: Grants citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the U.S., including formerly enslaved people.
Privileges or Immunities Clause: Prohibits states from enforcing laws that limit the rights of U.S. citizens.
Due Process Clause: Prohibits state governments from depriving any person of life, liberty, or property without fair legal procedures.
Equal Protection Clause: Requires states to provide equal protection under the law to all people within their jurisdiction.
Of course the US Solicitor General has been trying to find a way around the 14th Amendment in arguing against birthright citizenship. The US constitution and its 14th amendment makes it pretty clear that the children of immigrants (whatever the latter's status) become US citizens where they are born in the United States.
At one point said US Solicitor General was asked whether in his view the children of Native Americans are birthright citizens. He seemed a trifle unsure, responding with an 'Um, yeah. I think so.'
That would be the people who were in North American before the first settler landed there. Republicans and Magaheads hate the fact that Native Americans exist and have a clear claim to be the first inhabitants of the United States. You could almost hear the guy trying to find a way to imply that Native Americans were not entitled to US citizenship. But of course there is no other coherent answer available.
The fact that you have white settlers, all of whom are descended from immigrants, trying to act and behave as if they were the first ever Americans is disturbing enough but it does point to an increasing idiocy in US culture and certainly in its politics. I myself have had the jaw dropping moment of watching a Magahead claim within two sentences that his forebearers arrived in America in the 1500s (highly improbable) and secondly that this makes him a 'Native American'.
There are people in the US seriously lending thought to claiming the sky is orange. The fact that idiots in suits can even launch these highly unlikely claims is staggering. They are clearly just making it up as they go along. The interesting bit is there will be some Americans listening to it and nodding along.
I think this is because the preferred fiction has become reality for a section of the US populace, which is highly embarrassing for the other two thirds.
I've never seen such a widespread attempt to install what is clearly an Idiocracy. I think much of this is due to a number of dynamics (as there is seldom a single cause for any dynamic in human affairs). Pollution, adulterated diet, poor literacy skills in a large section of the US public and a fantasy life encouraged by manipulators who are clearly doing their best to install a deceptive narrative wherever they can in order to further manipulate a population very unevenly gifted with critical thinking skills.

Given your past 'contributions' to this forum I'd say you're in no position to lecture anyone about their critical thinking skills.
Please think before posting. Repeating antisemitic tropes, conspiracy myths, or collective accusations harms the Jewish community and undermines good-faith discussion.
