Re: What are you listening to at the moment?
Last couple of days
Bob Dylan - The Bootleg Series Volume 16: Springtime In New York (5CD) - surprisingly great and really well sequenced. The disc that covers the Empire Burlesque years is excellent as are the Infidels sessions stuff. This really is a great series and well worth the outlay.
Various - Arthur Baker Presents Dance Masters: Shep Pettibone (4CD) - probably the great remixer in his day - top selection of quality 12" mixes, a few which were not familiar and will rapidly become favourites.
Sisters Of Mercy - BBC Sessions 1982-1984 (CD) - just £6 on Amazon. Three quality sessions; fantastic version of Hot Chocolate's Emma to round things off.

Trying everything to clear my head and work this morning - bird song, weather sounds but ended up back with this old favourite.

Speaking of the blues, I really like this guy, Seasick Steve. He's got a very interesting back story (look it up). Here he's ably assisted on bass by none other than Led Zep's John Paul Jones.

... and in memory of the inimitable Paddy Moloney of The Chieftains, who passed away yesterday. May he Rest In Peace.

I see what you mean about a back story - there's a movie waiting to be made in there.

Re: What are you listening to at the moment?
A composition from Jason Becker. Great guitar player struck down early in his life by a condition called Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis. Left him basically paralysed but he continues to churn out music using specially developed software that responds to his head movements. Doctor gave him three years to live, that was over 20 years ago. Long may he continue to add beautiful melodies to this world through his musical compositions.
