Manchester United Club Thread v1
Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
I was right! See my post above! 0-4 at half time! Shocking display. Ole out…perhaps!

Yup, he's gotta go. And needs to happen quick to salvage something
Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
A good few players need to follow him out the door too. The whole thing has become poison.

Did grand against a shite spurs team.
Should have lost last night to an average at best Atalanta team.
Will likely get a tonking from City at the weekend.
Ole

Ugh, could be an unpleasant day..
Wish Wan Basaka would practice crosses.. It's such a loss on that side of the pitch

I just don’t know. Someone that will kick some ass, but who that would be, who knows? Just hope the powers that be at OT have some plans afoot!Elwood_Blues wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 6:18 pm Who would you prefer? Zidane, Rodgers, or someone else..

Maybe a stop gap until they can perform surgery on the dressing room with a fresh slate in the summer. The likes of Maguire, Pogba, and many more should be locked outside the gates.

I don't rate Rodgers. Did F.A. at Liverpool, won a mickey mouse league against no opposition with Celtic, being found out big time at Leicester. Swansea was about his strength, should have stayed there.Elwood_Blues wrote: ↑Sat Nov 20, 2021 6:18 pm Who would you prefer? Zidane, Rodgers, or someone else..
Zidane might get Martial and Pogba to play but I'd still rather be rid of the pair of them. You really need another Ferguson to come in but where are you going to find him and remember, even Ferguson had a shit first few years.
I think the cupboard is a bit bare of top class managers at the moment, I'd probably stick with Ole at least until the end of the season but really the squad is top heavy with wasters and needs a good clearout, I dont think these prima donnas would perform for anyone if they don't feel like it.

Nice lad OGS but always unsuitable for that job. He was lucky to get 3 years I suppose. Big problems with that squad and several players underperforming…. and no proper midfield holding player. Huge money spent and still only half a team. Big decisions to be made now!
Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
Inevitable, I suppose, three years, hundreds of millions and no trophies, even Mourinho won two cups. Probably write off this season now too and give the matter a lot of thought.
The fact remains though, that all these managers can't be shite all of the time, they will have to cast around for somewhere else to lay the blame, I'd love to know what Sir Alex or even Sir Bobby think about what's been going on at the club for the last seven or eight years.
Something is not right and it's easy, and probably reasonable to lay blame on the Glazers, they are not football people, but to be fair, they haven't skimped on the readies over the last while, they've bought the big names but the big names haven't performed, so that suggests that the problem lies somewhere between them and the team. Five managers since Fergie but no return to the heady days.

Villareal 0 Utd 2 tonight! Really really hard to fathom this Utd squad! We were going nowhere till Carrick brought on Rash and Bruno, who changed the game immediately. Bruno in particular has done nothing in recent weeks, yet proved quite effective tonight. God knows who will up their game against Chelsea at the weekend. They'll all need to improve drastically to keep Tuchel's team at bay.
Re: Manchester United Club Thread v1
Utd seem to be steadying up a bit under Carrick. A draw last weekend at Chelsea followed by tonight's 3-2 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford. Ronaldo got a brace tonight, putting him over 800 goals in his career. He's phenomenal! I still think Rangrick will have his work cut out to fit all these disparate players and their egos into a coherent whole!

First half we played really well. Lots of pressing and good passing. A goal would of topped it off. Second half wasn't as fluid but great goal from Fred and a clean sheet.
Promising start but let's see how it goes

A better game than I was expecting. Handy game midweek should allow for some coaching land getting to know new tactics.
