The backlash from beardie men with long hair and hooker make up is mighty - do these people realise they're seen as a cross between a Little Britain sketch and Buffalo Bill from Silence of the Lambs ???

When did "I identify as.." mean "I AM, I have PHYSICALLY AND CHROMOSOMALLY transformed to a WOMAN and you will lose your job for disagreeing!!!

I am genuinely scared for my job if I expressed the simple fact that humans cannot change sex - and I work in science!! TENI have their claws into my place.

I thought about getting it to the third page also to see if that would fix it.

Yesterday Macy Gray received such horrible threats that she tried to row back on what she had said earlier.
But then she deleted that row back.
And today she posted this.
I should get the last line printed on a teeshirt.

Hopefully, Celchick.

The thing is though it's such a growing area, the transgender experience. It encompasses so much variation. I see stories all the time about trans people who are just trying to live their lives, and I feel for them. They have kids, they have dysphoria, they just want good health care, to get on with things.

But then their stories are juxtaposed by others I see where obviously porn addled perverts are brazenly pushing their way into intimate spaces, I mean seriously crazy, deranged looking individuals that anyone, man or woman, would be terrified to share private spaces with.

How is this spectrum to be accommodated?? How is safeguarding to be maintained?

I think at the very least we have to agree on the ground rules of reality. Sex exists. There are particular experiences unique to the different sexes. And sex is immutable.
And from these ground rules we can accommodate people in a civilised way.

Page three are you here yet?

Sad to note that Macy Gray has been threatened with the loss of her record deal and has now gone on tv proclaiming she has been “educated”

Is there any other religion or belief that has so much power that you have to believe or suffer ???

In Scientology they call this “fair game”.By this they mean, may not be further protected by the codes and disciplines or the rights of a Scientologist.

It’s clear the church of social justice has taken up a similar policy. It enables them to be absolute hypocrites; espousing inclusion and love while being outright nasty d*ckheads. “Those people are fair game because they don’t believe what we believe”. The policy remains in effect and has been defended by the Church of Scientology as a core religious practice

Very scary to see the power.

Looking at a man on Twitter wearing a mini skirt and tights taking pictures in a ladies toilet.

I saw that similar thing 30 years ago and told the dude to feck off out of there.

Now he’s “stunningandbrave” for calling himself Emily and “socially transitioning”

Just get to fck!!!

Just to show who Plane Speeking means. This is a Polymer chemist from Boston who has just come out as she, and as Dr Emily. This is them taking what has almost become the obligatory trophy shot of themselves in the ladies toilets. It's so common now, this "I've finally made it into the female space" photo, and there are various stages of dress (and to be honest, often undress) involved in this symbolic trophy. This lad has put on a denim mini and the transformation from male to female has happened. Indistinguishable now from any other women. 🙄🙄

I do try to be reasonable about some of this but frankly it's often such a pain in the arse what we are supposed to be kind, believe and affirm.

That fella just makes me feel like boxing stuff. But I actually wondered recently if maybe he isn't a reactionary plant, who will wise up more people to the utter stupidity of a lot of gender idpol. Because surely most sane people must think get up the yard when he starts with his sickly sweet smarming ?

Patrick Freyne is a reasonably well known contributor to the Irish Times. This accusation, that people who critique Gender Theory, are homophobic or tending towards being homophobia-adjacent, is disgusting.

Might as well log this for the record while I'm here.

If you object to any content of school curricula that you think oversteps the mark of what is decent for children, you will likely be told you are a prudish pearl clutcher, or worse still facilitating abuse of children by leaving them ignorant.

But here are some things you could keep in mind in your defense.
Queer theory exists. It's an academic field of study that has been evolving and gaining traction over at least 30 years.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer_t ... equalities.

Queer Pedagogy exists. It's objective is to apply queer theory to education. Specifically it aims to disrupt concepts of normalcy in children, at an age when they are especially receptive. The normal mores that need disruption are the "CIS heterosexual normative" mores, also called cishet or heteronormativity.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queer_pedagogy

One might think this is useful for gay children but it's not just about making ordinary relationships between gay people normal. It's about things like sex work is work and kink-driven sex including strangulation, beating, etc is normal. In too many instances there is exploration of age of consent, and denial of suffering where adults have sex with children who consent.

An article today looks at some aspects of the UK experience.

https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/35cd ... dd5c594793

The job of sex education is often contracted out to private companies who the article shows have very broad ideas on what is appropriate for children. Here in Ireland NGOs are asked for input into the curriculum.

If you cannot access the article let me know.

Drag queens for children in schools and libraries is part of queer pedagogy. You are not clutching pearls if you object to this.

I rarely write to papers but it’s will be complaining about him.

I am a staunch ally of the gay community, I have countered misinformation around HIV and AIDS; campaigned for equal rights in all matters including marriage, adoption, jobs etc.

I am deeply disappointed that this person is trying to muddy the waters so that anyone who points out the fact that biologically born men have no place in woman’s sports, spaces and others is “homophobic”.

Vile man.

Glad to hear it. I didn't check too far down in the replies to guage the response because to be honest it sometimes scares me a bit that well known people with significant platforms will make such hateful accusations and sometimes I just can't face into seeing hundreds agreeing with them.

Celchick wrote: Sat Jul 09, 2022 10:50 am He and Donald Clarke at the Irish Times are the most sneery, self congratulating twats. Thank goodness for their colleague Hugh Linehan, who isn't buying the nonsense (and getting grief for it - particularly because of whom he shares his surname with).

If Freyne even actually used this thing called thinking for a moment, he'd realise that masses of gay people are gender critical. Because they - being same SEX attracted - are affected by this nonsense of disregarding biology.
Exactly this!!!! I’m tired of perfectly lovely young girls who may be lesbians or not, being told they’re not binary (which isn’t a real thing ffs) or men. Likewise - guys who may be “effeminate” (so fecking what ??!!) are medicated and surgically altered to be some sort of eunech who will never have a sex life, will suffer from osteoporosis in his 20s when he could be just a happy gay man.

And I will never understand how in the era of Me Too did men persuading women to have straight sex with them (the cotton ceiling - vomit) and having people think this is okay!!
