Collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.

#1

Post by isha »

I don't know much about economics or banking or high finance, but this seems, at first glance anyway, to be somewhat significant.

Ireland has a 100 million investment, which is not that much compared to our other debts. Sweden has its fourth largest pension fund there.
There are rumours that people like Oprah may lose a lot.
Peter Thiel withdrew his funds and it seems to have precipitated this biggest bank fail since everyone was doing it in 2008.

What say ye experts?

Dunno if you follow Linus Tech Tips but they were discussing SVB on their WAN show and then he suddenly realizes it could impact them. Quite funny.
