Answer, destroyed 500km of Hamas underground military facility for terror.
That these terrorists purposely placed underneath civilian housing, mosques, schools and notoriously, hospitals.
The low IQ western antizionists proclaimed this to be a winning strategy and tactic. They demanded the world assent to their false moral universe.
But look up what the law says you morons. It says you cannot hide in civilian sites and medical facilities. If you do, you don't have impunity.
The truth is the law allows any country including the country of the Jews, to target that military infrastructure threatening its own citizens, as long as efforts are made to reduce harm.
Which is what Israel did, and in fact they went beyond what is set down in law about protecting civilians, including leaflet drops, telephone calls, to try and minimise civilian casualties. They went in on the ground rather than carpet bombing.
They sacrificed their own soldiers by doing so. They were killed & wounded in large numbers including by Hamas booby-trapping of tens of 1000s of structures- a leading cause of the great damage in Gaza.
All to try and reduce Palestinian civilian collateral damage.
At the same time Hamas deliberately worked to put their own population at maximum risk. This is an undeniable fact.
The antizionists saw this - that not a single shelter was built with the billions of aid, and they saw the booby trapped buildings, the population kept out of the shelter of the tunnels, and being prevented leaving areas where they might be in danger, etc.
Or rather they turned a blind eye the better to further their agenda.
Of course those tunnels were legitimate military targets. And certainly this capacity Hamas had built up posed an existential threat to Israel's citizens.
But remember how quiet and glum the antizionists went when they thought Trump's ceasefire would be the end of Hamas.
Now they're re-animated as they see Hamas back in Gaza - regrouping, getting away with violating the ceasefire & peace deal, dragging their feet on returning dead hostages, not disarming, cementing their control, all without facing consequences from the countries who arranged the so called "ceasefire".
So we saw the antizionist mob back to their immoral logic of scapegoating and libel. Their logic of lynch mob. Their demanding you accept their beliefs and accusations and propaganda as facts.
Their demands that everyone else invest themselves in their libels and systemic voluminous anti Israel demonising propaganda, just like themselves. Their persistent demand that you assent to their false moral universe, join their lynch mob.
Of course, there wasn’t, isn’t, and has never been a genocide in Gaza. As I have shown clearly on this thread, it's a cynical highly organised strategy and tactics to achieve certain aims.
If it wasn't obvious from the facts on the ground, as I have just talked about, it should be obvious from the fact that Israel has been accused of "genocide" since late-Soviet communist propaganda set these slogans in motion - racism, genocide, imperialism, colonialism, apartheid.
Each and every one of the Hamas instigated wars since 2007 they cried "genocide". And in prior wars, even going back say to Suez in 1956 they were crying "genocide". And Arafat in 1968 was crying "genocide" when the Israelis hit back at him in Lebanon.
Each time, you'd also see the device of these false accusations laundered in the UN and other bodies by their enemies - by the 57 Muslim countries and the countries under some form of Soviet influence.
And the antisemitic mob baying with them, convicting the Jews under their logic of mob "justice", and mob consensus, and also receiving state-sanction from weak corrupt governments like our own, afraid of the tyranny of the majority, and who ever since 2001 have laundered their antisemitism under the cover of "anti-racism", which is how this mass mob, today's antisemites, are able to think well of themselves.
I can tell you now that the pathetic facade or veneer of self righteousness you clutch around yourselves now will ultimately fade, and your shame and ignominy will live in memory for generations. There is no truth in numbers, you need to understand that.

The Gaza Genocide has opened a can of worms and the Zionist spin doctors can never again put the genie back in the bottle.
People, like myself, who in the past had zero interest in Middle Eastern affairs or were at best ambivalent, have woken up.
Shame it took the murder of seventy thousand people to make us see more clearly what has been happening in plain sight for the past eighty years.
Welcome back Roman Emperor. Sadly you're correct. I was one of those people too. If we had really wanted to know, the knowledge was always there. However, those Zionist spin doctors you mention, have also carefully stage managed the production for years. The whole western world has been spun a lie for so long about Israel and Palestine that eventually it became a truth. To paraphrase the poisonous dwarf Josef Goebbels, "the media just needs to repeat a lie often enough and it eventually becomes the truth."
The propaganda war is still desperately being waged too by western media outlets to defend or rehabilitate this psychotic genocidal Israeli regime now they're only shooting >10 Palestinians a day in Gaza. The BBC whitewashing was painfully obvious as they were allowed in to 'report' on the destruction and carnage in Gaza in the past few days as the Middle East eye report below rightly called out.
Al Jazeera are still doing decent reporting and giving some picture of the reality on the ground in Gaza, as they have done since the slaughter began. They are keeping a count of how many have been killed or injured by Israeli bombing or shooting since the 'ceasefire' was declared. It's a complete joke to call it a ceasefire when Israel has killed over 200 and injured nearly 600 since October 12th.
The bombing and shooting of Palestinian civilians continues despite the Zionists getting the last body of one the last Israeli captives today from Islamic Jihad. Putting aside the complete absurdity of shooting and killing innocent Palestinian civilians as punishment for the failure to return bodies of people that were long dead, the Zionist government has been getting their demands met. They have gotten almost all the captives' bodies back now, only 5 remain, and the ceasefire terms are being largely fulfilled by Hamas and the other groups in Gaza, will they stop air strikes and use of deadly force against Palestinian civilians?
I highly doubt it if the Lebanon 'ceasefire' is anything to go by. No mainstream western media outlets will dare to criticise the numerous blatant violations of the 'ceasefire' terms by the rogue terrorist government of Israel.

Hamas were supposed to disarm. They have not and stated clearly they will not do so. Meanwhile Hamas have been merrily torturing and murdering their enemies in Gaza. Israel has starred to demobilise reserve troops.. So demands not met.

Welcome to Gubu.ie I wanted to share this article with y’all about the Doomsday cult member ICJ Judge Julia Subutinde. She should wear a billboard around her neck saying “The end is nigh”. And it will be if they get their way.
The Arab Organisation for Human Rights (AOHR) in the UK, view ICJ Judge Julia Subutinde’s alleged comments as a CALL FOR ACTION may be :
“The AOHR UK added that Judge Sebutinde has not only abandoned impartiality and integrity but has also expressed messianic religious ideas that encourage the perpetuation of the crime of genocide, which has already claimed tens of thousands of victims, the majority of whom are women, children, and the elderly.”
“AOHR UK pointed out that Judge Sebutinde’s expressed views “mirror the rhetoric of Israeli leaders such as Netanyahu, Ben Gvir, and Smotrich, who for over 22 months of killing, destruction, starvation, and displacement have invoked biblical and Talmudic narratives to justify crimes and spur on the military in pursuit of the “Greater Israel” project, as Netanyahu recently articulated.”
Roman Emperor (RE), a BBC journalist said : . “The Gaza of maps and memories is gone, replaced by a monochrome landscape of rubble stretching flat and still for 180 degrees, from Beit Hanoun on one side to Gaza City on the other.”
“From an embankment overlooking Gaza City, there's no hiding what this war has done.
....
“Beyond the distant shapes of buildings still standing inside Gaza City, there's almost nothing left to orient you here, or identify the neighbourhoods that once held tens of thousands of people.
“This was one of the first areas Israeli ground troops entered in the early weeks of the war. Since then they have been back multiple times, as Hamas regrouped around its strongholds in the area.
“Israel does not allow news organisations to report independently from Gaza. Today it took a group of journalists, including the BBC, into the area of the Strip occupied by Israeli forces.
“The brief visit was highly controlled and offered no access to Palestinians, or other areas of Gaza.
“Military censorship laws in Israel mean that military personnel were shown our material before publication. The BBC maintained editorial control of this report at all times.

‘Katz orders IDF to declare Egyptian border closed military zone over drone smugglings’
Defense minister says he’s ‘declaring war’ on gun-runners, Shin Bet will define such acts as terror; Zamir instructs military to focus efforts and resources on threat
“Defense Minister Israel Katz said Thursday he was “declaring war” on weapon smuggling via drones over the Egyptian border, instructing the military to declare a closed military zone in the area and the Shin Bet to define such attempts as terrorism.
“In the past year, there have been frequent attempts to bring weapons and drugs over the Egyptian border using drones, the latest on Tuesday.
“Katz on Wednesday night held an “emergency meeting” on the drone threat with IDF, police, Shin Bet, and Defense Ministry officials, his office said.
“During the meeting, Katz “instructed the IDF to turn the area adjacent to the border into a closed military zone and to adjust the rules of engagement in order to strike any unauthorized party that penetrates into the prohibited area, in order to hit the operators and smugglers of the drones,” according to his office.
“As of Thursday morning, the IDF has yet to announce any new closed military zones along Israel’s 200-kilometer-long border with Egypt, or any changes to its rules of engagement in the area.
'Israel declares Egypt border area closed military zone due to weapon-smuggling drones'
"Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz on Thursday said he instructed the army to turn the area at the border with Egypt into a closed military zone to combat weapons smuggling via drones.
“I instructed the IDF (military) to turn the area adjacent to the Israel–Egypt border into a closed military zone and to amend the rules of engagement accordingly in order to combat the drone threat that endangers the country’s security,” Katz said in a statement.
“Weapon smuggling via drones is part of the war in Gaza and is intended to arm our enemies, and all possible measures must be taken to stop it,” he added.
"Israel and Egypt share a border that spans approximately 200 kilometres (124 miles).
"On Sunday, the Israeli military said it identified a drone that “crossed from the west into Israeli territory in an attempt to smuggle weapons”.
"It said troops intercepted the drone, which was carrying eight guns.
"On Tuesday, it said it thwarted another smuggling attempt after intercepting a drone carrying 10 pistols which had “crossed from the eastern border” into Israeli territory.

A CLASSIFIED REPORT BY US OVERSIGHT BODY FOUND THAT ISRAELI MILITARY COMMITTED MANY HUNDREDS OF ‘POTENTIAL’ VIOLATIONS OF HUMAN RIGHTS LAW IN GAZA
“Josh Paul, a former State Department official, noted that while one objection can block aid for most militaries, for Israel, officials must “come to a consensus on whether a gross violation of human rights has occurred.”
‘CLASSIFIED US Report Finds ‘Many Hundreds’ of Alleged Israeli Human Rights Violations in Gaza’
‘The long backlog and a reporting protocol developed especially for Israel are likely to keep Israeli forces from being held accountable, said officials’
"Progressive lawmakers and rights groups have long warned that by arming the Israel Defense Forces and providing the IDF with more than $21 billion, the US has violated its own laws barring the government from sending military aid to countries accused of human rights abuses and of blocking humanitarian relief.
"On Thursday, a classified report by the US State Department detailed for the first time the federal government’s own acknowledgment of the scale of alleged human rights abuses that the IDF has committed in Gaza since it began bombarding the exclave in October 2023.
The Office of the Inspector General’s document, reported on by the Washington Post, which spoke to US officials about it, also detailed how allegations of human rights abuses against the Israeli military are made harder to prove by a vetting process that is only afforded to Israel—not other countries accused of violations.
"The US officials said the long backlog of “many hundreds” of possible violations of the Leahy Laws, which bar US military assistance from going to units credibly accused of human rights abuses, would likely take years to review—calling into question whether the IDF will ever be held accountable for them.
“The lesson here is that if you commit genocide and war crimes, do as much as possible because then it becomes difficult to investigate everything,” said journalist and Northwestern University professor Marc Owen Jones grimly in response to the Post‘s report.
LEAHY ACT
4 NOVEMBER 2023 (sic) ‘Leftist Democrats invoke human rights law in scrutiny of Israel military aid’
‘Congressional progressives say proposed $14.3bn breaches 1997 Leahy act as assault on Gaza has overwhelmingly harmed civilians’
“Leftwing Democrats in Congress have invoked a landmark law barring assistance to security forces of governments deemed guilty of human rights abuses to challenge the Biden administration’s emergency military aid program for Israel.
“Members of the Democratic party’s progressive wing say the $14.3bn package pledged by the White House after the 7 October attack by Hamas that killed more than 1,400 Israelis breaches the Leahy Act because Israel’s retaliatory assault on Gaza has overwhelmingly harmed civilians. ….
The act, sponsored by the former Democratic senator Patrick Leahy and passed in 1997, prohibits the US defence and state departments from rendering security assistance to foreign governments facing credible accusations of rights abuses. The law was originally designed only to refer to narcotics assistance, but was later expanded, with amendments covering assistance from both state department and Pentagon budgets
Several governments, some of them key US allies, are believed to have been denied assistance under the law, including Turkey, Colombia and Mexico.
Proponents of applying the act to Israel point to the rising death toll in Gaza from military strikes on the territory, the displacement of more than 1 million people from their homes and a surging humanitarian crisis after Israeli authorities cut water, food, fuel and electricity supplies.

They even have a new Nuremberg movie out.
Do they expect us to cry about nazis when we have seen what they did in Gaza?
The self-absorption of these people is amazing.
There has been a noticeable proliferation of WW2/Auschwitz type programming on the satellite channels for the past two years.
Unfortunately, for the Zionists, it only serves to further remind people of the current genocide and the role of a formerly oppressed people in it's prosecution.
There's no doubt in my mind - Israel has lost control of the global narrative - the genie is out of the bottle.
"The findings of the State Department’s Office of the Inspector General mark the first time a US government report has acknowledged the scale of Israeli actions in Gaza that fall under the scope of the Leahy Laws, US statutory provisions that prohibit the government from providing security assistance to foreign military and police units credibly implicated in committing "gross violations of human rights,” The Washington Post reported Thursday.
"The US officials, who spoke anonymously because the report is classified, said the findings raise concerns about accountability, given the volume of incidents and a review process that largely defers to the Israeli military.
....
"The report was finalized shortly before Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas agreed to a ceasefire that included the release of remaining Israeli hostages, the exchange of Palestinian prisoners, a limited Israeli troop pullback and the partial return of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
"The Leahy Laws, named after their principal sponsor, former Senator Patrick Leahy, were created to prevent US assistance from going to foreign military units implicated in torture, extrajudicial killings or other grave human rights violations.
...
"Israel’s genocide in Gaza, which has killed more than 68,500 people since October 2023, has put the Leahy Laws under scrutiny. High-profile cases still awaiting review include Israel’s killing of seven aid workers from World Central Kitchen in April 2024 and the deaths of more than 100 Palestinians near Gaza City in February 2024 when crowds gathered around aid trucks, according to local health officials.

WHY ISN’T THE HUMANITARIAN AID ALREADY FLOWING INTO GAZA, AT SCALE, WITH US-LED CIVIL-MILITARY COORDINATION CENTRE (CMCC) OVERSEEING AID INTO GAZA ?? THE CMCC HUB IS IN SOUTHERN *ISRAEL*

Israel recently declared Egypt border area a closed military zone due to weapon smuggling. RAFAH CROSSING IS ON THAT BORDER.
The Rafah Border Crossing (Arabic: معبر رفح, romanized: Ma`bar Rafaḥ) or Rafah Crossing Point is the sole crossing point between Egypt and Palestine's Gaza Strip and Gaza's sole border point with a country other than Israel.[1]
BELOW MAP GIVES YOU A CLEAR PICTURE, SO TO SPEAK, OF HOW ISRAEL IS RETAINING CONTROL OF THE GAZA STRIP (HIGHLIGHTED IN YELLOW]
^^^ ONLY TWO CROSSINGS ARE OPEN, WHICH HUMANITARIAN AGENCIES SAY SEVERELY LIMITS THE QUANTITY OF AID TO THE NORTH OF GAZA. THEY ARE FORCED TO FOLLOW A SLOW AND DIFFICULT ROUTE FROM THE SOUTH. MAJOR ROADS HAVE BEEN DESTROYED OR BLOCKED BY RUBBLE FROM COLLAPSED BUILDINGS, ESPECIALLY HIGH RISE BUILDINGS... FULL ACCESS TO KEY ROADS IS ESSENTIAL. ALL THE CROSSINGS NEED TO BE OPENED, ESPECIALLY THOSE IN THE NORTH.
US MILITARY HAVE BEGUN OPERATING SURVEILLANCE DRONES OVER GAZA STRIP TO MONITOR GROUND ACTIVITY, WITH ISRAEL’S CONSENT
ON 24 OCTOBER
“On 24 October, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio visited the headquarters. On the same day, the New York Times reported that the US military had begun operating surveillance drones over the Gaza Strip to monitor ground activity, with Israel's consent.[10]“
“Approximately 200 US troops specializing in logistics, engineering, security, travel are to help facilitate "the flow of humanitarian, logistical, and security assistance from international counterparts into Gaza." US forces are not intended to be deployed within the Gaza Strip itself.”
“Netanyahu's appointment of Michael Eisenberg, an Israeli-American businessman, "indicates his desire to maintain control over all contacts with the Americans on the Gaza issue, and not to allow the defence establishment to deal with the issue independently," Channel 12 said.
....
“Yaki Dolf, a brigadier general at the Israeli army, will be the army's representative in the coordination centre alongside Eisenberg.
“Washington Post reported US-led body would oversee aid
“Israel says it remains part of policy, supervision, monitoring
“Humanitarian agencies say too little aid is getting in
“The Washington Post reported on Friday that the U.S.-led Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) will replace Israel in overseeing aid into Gaza. It cited a U.S. official and people familiar with the matter as saying Israel was part of the process but that CMCC would decide what aid enters Gaza and how.

“While the truce was meant to unleash a torrent of aid across the tiny, crowded enclave where famine was confirmed in August and where almost all the 2.3 million inhabitants have lost their homes, humanitarian agencies said last week that far too little aid is reaching Gaza.”

Excellent work Starry. You're a fountain of information as always.
Senator Donie Cassidy, Seanad Debate, 10th April 2008
"[House] prices are now nearing the bottom end......Now is the right time to buy."
How the mask slipped. “The left are the culprit in bringing back the worst anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.”
Speaker’s background:
Former leftist and antisemite who later criticized both.
Shocked by how the Left reacted to the October 7, 2023 Hamas attack.
Reactions of the Left
Two main responses:
Radicals: celebrated in the streets on Oct 8.
Academics/Elites: said “it’s complicated,” refusing to condemn Hamas. One week later were protesting on the streets when Israel retaliated.
Both showed moral double standards.
The speaker contrasts this with how those same people quickly condemn sexism, racism, or inequality in other contexts, showing hypocrisy in their moral consistency.
Hypocrisy of Progressive Values
Feminists ignored rape and abduction of women.
LGBT advocates sided with regimes that kill gay people.
Anti-racists marched beside open antisemites.
The Left applies its morals selectively when Jews or Israel are involved.
The Left as Hamas’s PR Machine
Western leftists spread Hamas propaganda (e.g., “Israel is committing genocide”).
They revived old antisemitic myths like The Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
Hamas benefits from the Left’s messaging in the West.
They Don’t Truly Care About Palestinians
Leftists glorify Yahya Sinwar, who killed Palestinians himself.
They rejected peace deals that could have freed Gaza from Hamas.
Their stance causes more Palestinian suffering, not less.
Historical Pattern
Since the 1950s, the Left (especially the Soviet bloc) backed Israel’s enemies.
Provided both weapons and propaganda support.
Turned terrorists like Arafat into heroic “freedom fighters.”
Always excused or minimized atrocities against Israelis and Jews.
Why the Left Hates Israel
Envy: Israel’s success disproves leftist victim ideology.
Moral confusion: belief that “the weaker side is always right.”
Supporting “underdogs” becomes moral virtue—even when the underdog is violent.
The “Underdog” Fallacy
Being weaker doesn’t make a group right (e.g., Japan in WWII, ISIS, Mafia).
The Left’s moral code demands that the strong sacrifice themselves to the weak.
Applied to Israel: “You’re stronger—so don’t defend yourself.”
Israel’s Impossible Task
Israel is expected to fight Hamas while protecting Hamas’s civilians.
Critics even call defense systems like Iron Dome “unfair.”
The world effectively demands that Israel not survive too effectively.
What Happens If the Left Gets Its Way
Israel withdraws and gives Palestinians full control.
Hamas wins elections again and allies with Iran and Hezbollah.
Israel becomes surrounded by hostile missile bases.
Result: not peace, but potential annihilation—a “second Holocaust.”
Core Message
The modern Left hasn’t suddenly become antisemitic—it always has been hostile to Israel.
Its moral framework rewards weakness, excuses evil, and punishes success.
If followed, it would lead to Israel’s destruction and more suffering for everyone.
WHITE HOUSE SPOKESPERSON DYLAN JOHNSON IS SPREADING PROPAGANDA REGARDING THE NUMBER OF AID TRUCKS GETTING INTO GAZA
^ IT’S A SICK LIE ^
AND, ONLY TWO CROSSINGS ARE OPEN
MEDIA OUTLETS SHOULD BE *FACT CHECKING* WHITE HOUSE DYLAN JOHNSON'S COMMENTARY WITH UNICEF, (COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER TESS INGRAM, WHO IS ON THE GROUND IN GAZA), AND WORLD FOOD PROGRAMME...
White House are spreading propaganda:
“White House spokesperson Dylan Johnson told Al Jazeera on Sunday an average of 674 trucks have entered Gaza daily since the Israel-Hamas ceasefire took effect.”
'White House says nearly 700 aid trucks entering war-battered Gaza each day, a figure disputed by Palestinians and aid groups'
"The White House says nearly 15,000 trucks carrying commercial goods and humanitarian aid have entered Gaza since October 10, but Palestinians and aid groups have sharply disputed the figures.
"White House spokesperson Dylan Johnson told Al Jazeera on Sunday an average of 674 trucks have entered Gaza daily since the Israel-Hamas ceasefire took effect.
" According to the World Food Programme (WFP), only half the required food aid is currently reaching Gaza, while a coalition of Palestinian relief agencies said total aid deliveries amounted to just one-quarter of what was agreed under the ceasefire deal. [/color'
....
"Despite US claims, conditions on the ground remain dire. Gaza’s Government Media Office said on Thursday since the start of the ceasefire only 28 percent of the agreed-upon number of aid trucks have been allowed to enter – totalling 4,453 vehicles, far below the promised 15,600 – amounting to 171 trucks per day.
“ These limited quantities fall far below the minimum humanitarian threshold,” the office said, calling for the immediate entry of at least 600 trucks daily to provide essential supplies such as food, medicine, fuel, and cooking gas .
International Reporters are saying today that over the weekend US said it will be taking a greater role in monitoring and deciding what aid enters the Gaza Strip

Starry: Perhaps Pope Leo XIV can make a statement, on behalf of Palestinians in Gaza... from St Peter’s basilica balcony to the crowds at St Peter’s Square
HOLY FATHER POPE LEO, THERE'S NO CEASEFIRE IN THE GAZA STRIP, AND NO PEACE
IN EXCESS OF 69,000 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED, MAINLY WOMEN AND CHILDREN
HIS HOLINESS POPE FRANCIS WANTED A CEASEFIRE
Pope Francis, in his last public address on Easter Sunday from St Peter’s basilica balcony to the City and the World :
His Holiness Pope Francis had miraculously rallied from a lengthy illness with a severe respiratory infection and bilateral pneumonia
And a month after Pope Francis was discharged from hospital, he was seated while Archbishop Diego Ravelli read the text out loud to the thousands in St Peter’s Square. Pope Francis died on 21 April 2025.
“I express my closeness to the sufferings of Christians in Palestine and Israel, and to all the Israeli people and the Palestinian people. The growing climate of anti-Semitism throughout the world is worrisome. Yet at the same time, I think of the people of Gaza, and its Christian community in particular, where the terrible conflict continues to cause death and destruction and to create a dramatic and deplorable humanitarian situation. I appeal to the warring parties: call a ceasefire, release the hostages and come to the aid of a starving people that aspires to a future of peace!

Oh yeah. Alert the authorities. Cert chief. What do you think I am? Some kind of psycho who revels in the death of innocent Israeli civilians? I have no agenda against Israeli civilians, unlike the agenda I have seen being pushed against innocent Palestinians by some real sick puppies on here.
What about the 15 Palestinian medics dear knownunknown, brutally shot in cold blood by the IDF last March? Would you have warned them that Zionist terrorists would be shooting them for simply responding to a medical emergency as was their job?
Or during the second IDF incursion in Khan Younis in July 2024 when Israeli snipers were shooting men, women and children indiscriminately. Was that just a bunch of psychopaths bloodletting in a sick, twisted battle frenzy or were they ordered to shoot everything that moved by their superiors? Would it have made any difference if you had warned them, when those civilians were trapped in the world's largest concentration camp?
The thing is this kind of relentless senseless slaughter of Palestinians happened daily on repeat at GHF sites, at hospitals and near the refugee camps for 2 years. So you tell me how is that not systemic butchery and slaughter of innocent Palestinian men, women and children when that's happening every day? A 'Bloody Sunday' occurred in Gaza every day for 2 years as one poster used to put it on politics.ie. Wild animals would have had more compassion for innocents then what was shown by IDF soldiers and air force personnel the past 2 years.
A very simple thought experiment dear knownunknown. How can you allow yourself be a tool that defends the genocidal actions of Zionism in when European Jews suffered a brutal genocide and persecution at the hands of the Nazis? Why do you defend the indefensible pray tell dear knownunknown when Jewish people suffered that brutal fate at the hands of the Nazis only 80 years ago?
Lastly Mosab sold out his own. He probably did save some lives from Hamas terrorism. At the same time, several innocent Palestinian civilians and civilians were routinely shot dead by the IDF or Israeli settlers in acts of Zionist state sanctioned terrorism for rioting and stone throwing in the period he was active as the Green Prince. It's a cop-out to say he saved so many lives, because the IDF and Israeli security forces have been brutally enforcing apartheid for decades against Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. If Israel really wants a peaceful coexistence, well stop treating the Palestinians as less than human and you might begin to solve the problem of Hamas terrorism in a generation or two. Brutally slaughtering them in a genocide has just created another fresh generation of volunteers that will see this conflict continue on indefinitely so long as that's the kind of inhuman response taken by the Middle East's only 'democracy'.
Sorry I nearly missed this post, with all those walls of text it’s not easy to keep track of this thread. I suppose that’s the intention.
I’m glad you would have alerted authorities. Did you know that 95% of the people that Mossab Hassan Yousef was speaking to at that Oxford debate wouldn’t have alerted authorities had they known about the Oct. 7th attacks prior to the event. Those are the people I’m most in disagreement with.
This conversation is about Youssef, you said he was a paid shill by Israel. I pointed out how there is a fatwa against him, he has not enriched himself only hurt himself, he has to live in hiding and disown his family.
The reason the question of “would you have alerted the authorities” is so important in relation to what we’re talking about because that’s exactly the situation Mossab found himself in. As a son of Hamas he was aware of upcoming terrorist attacks. You see, he, like you would have, alerted the authorities. Something you would have done yourself, you are attacking this man for, how can you square that circle? He saved thousands of lives, Israeli and Palestinian alike.
Had he fled to Israel and disappeared then he would have been safe, at least temporarily, but his family would become fair game to be attacked as traitors.
That’s fundamentalist, Islamic society for you, its driven by the honour-shame paradigm which is in stark contrast to the innocent-guilt paradigm that we practise. The guilt on one’s own conscience is what drives our moral reasoning and actions as opposed to others laying shame on you to change your behaviour. What this means in practise is that if Mossab goes missing without reason then his family will become parasites, pariahs, and susceptible to attacks and being shamed. If he decides to leave Islam then he is considered an apostate and he will be killed, eventually, and his family are fair game too. He had to wait until his father disowned him before he could leave safe in the knowledge that his family wouldn’t be condemned to a life of shame.
Any medics or humanitarian workers which get killed is absolutely disgusting, horrific and to be condemned. That’s what makes Hamas choice of using ambulances to transport weapons, using hospitals to set up military bases and fire rockets from that more abhorrent. They are intentionally blurring the lines between civilian and military. Were Hamas to make this clear distinction, and the aid workers still got killed, then I would share in your outrage. As it happens many accidents happen in war. Most people would agree that neither Ukraine or Russia are intentionally targetting civilians, yet they still die by accident all the time. There hasn’t been a war in history where accidents don’t happen. In Afghanistan there were about 17 deaths from friendly fire of coalition forces. Not every killing/death is deliberate, that’s why war is so horrible, disgusting and should be avoided at all cost, a war which Hamas started.
The killings near the GHF sites were done by Hamas. Hamas told Palestinians that anyone who worked with Israel or took aid from the GHF sites would be punished, in the midst of a war/famine they told their civilians not to take aid because the more deaths that happen, the closer Hamas are to achieving their goal, the delegitimacy of Israel. Hopefully you don’t dispute this, it’s all on public record. It is in Hamas’ best interest for the GHF sites not to work, because that means they get UNRWA to come back and they have already proven they have control over them The whistleblower from GHF, Anthony Aguilar, is now a proven liar. When this story went all over the world initially everyone bought into it. But like a good theory in science it was never corroborated and nearly everything in his stories were proven to be false. The test of time did not apply well here. The corrections never travel quite so far.

It's very easy to square the circle. Mosab signed up to serve with an organization that represents people in Gaza, whatever you want to call them, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter etc, it is undeniable that Hamas has represented Gaza for nearly 20 years now. Mosab took an oath to Hamas, an organisation that his own father helped to found, and he betrayed that oath. You could make the argument that it was morally right to do so, to save civilians, perhaps it was just that, but what really motivated him nobody really knows. Whether it was an offer of money, his personal morals or a selfish desire to save his own skin and take the deal offered by the Shin Bet to escape more time in prison, well only Mosab knows why he did it.
Perhaps, Mosab's conversion involved a bit of everything, but you're thinking is very one-dimensional and naive based on what you have posted. I can just as easily make the same naive point as you about every single soldier, reservist, support staff etc. that served in or aided the Israeli armed forces genocide in Gaza recently. If Mosab is to be held up as some kind of shining example of conversion to pacifism, who wished to save lives, why didn't those Israeli conscripts and grunts throw down their arms and refuse to serve a Zionist regime that was desperate to pursue the genocide and ethnic cleansing of Gaza? Shouldn't the IDF soldier also protect civilians lives at all costs and value all human lives equally?
Didn't happen though did it? That's why it's a naive example and Mosab has, inadvertently or advertently, ended up supporting a regime that may have killed up to hundred thousand or more of his fellow Palestinians because he ended up shilling for the Shin Bet. At worst, Mosab swapped sides to save his own neck and now has aided the Israeli regime's propaganda war that led to the deaths of 10% of Gaza's population and caused untold suffering and trauma to many many times that number in Gaza. At best maybe he swapped sides out of pangs of conscience and the tens or hundreds that he did save by informing have been replaced by thousands or hundreds of thousands dead Palestinians killed by the regime he informed for.
We are all supposed to be outsiders dear knownunknown. I can easily say it was completely wrong to kill those Israeli civilians on October 7th, because that's what anyone with half a moral compass should say. Maybe it should have been stopped and maybe if October 7th had never happened the Zionist Apartheid nutcases would have never gotten the opportunity to carry out a revenge that is beyond comprehension in terms of destruction and death to us outsiders. The way Israel has continually treated Palestinians for decades now, as barely human, almost like, cattle that can be shifted, slaughtered and displaced as the current farm manager Netyenyahoo sees fit, that's a recipe for disaster. This nightmare will continue too so long as Israeli's continue to believe and invest in this greater Israel Zionist nightmare.
Israel is a terrorist fundamentalist state at this stage. There is no moral high ground that Israel's leaders can take anymore really when they decided, by accident or by design, that genocide was the answer to October 7th and that clearing Gaza was the answer to all their problems. Mosab too is just a pawn at this stage on their chess board. A pawn in a very, very sick game of ideology and propaganda.

We should at least try to keep it real when commenting on Israeli war crimes.
The IDF murdered more than a dozen medics, buried their bodies and their vehicles and then proceeded to lie to the civilised world about the atrocity - that's an undeniable fact.
As for using ambulances as cover for military activity, the Israelis themselves are past masters at this game.
