Last night in the Dail PBP attempted to in effect extend Abortion up to Birth but were defeated by just 2 votes - 71 to 73.
Can't say I am surprised though as the Repeal of the 8th took the matter out of the hands of the People and into the maws of our politicians.
Here is the full list of all those who voted for and against legalizing abortion up to birth in Ireland yesterday. With a margin of just 2 votes it is great that this legislation did not get the green light.
Yeah God forbid that women might avail of termination beyond 12 weeks of pregnancy! Particularly those carrying fetuses that won't survive long after birth or will have horrendous deformities making any short life they have hell.
